    Great service! Went there around 2 pm. Almost no one was there, so the service was very fast. Ordered two dozen tamales, and they were to our table almost instantly. Down side of going in the afternoon is there was less availability of different kinds of tamales. Only had regular and spicy pork. Still very good! Salsa had a great flavor. The hot was perfect. Not overbearing, and the salsa Verde had a little bit of kick. When going here, highly suggest calling in your order ahead of time. They can make any of their tamales if you call 1 hour ahead.

    I've been eating here for well over 20 years. It is by far the best Mexican food in SW Detroit! Best chicken tamales I've ever had and I've been to Mexico! You can never go wrong with Evie's! If ordering tamales by the dozen, do it early when they open. Worth every trip and $!

    If you want to keep it inexpensive and enjoy Mexican food, this is the place! I have been here for the breakfast burritos! Dinner is always great ask the waitress for something off the menu you have never had! Enjoy!

    Great brunch place. 2 of us and sn order to go for my brother in law was well under$30 with tip!(8$). Great authentic food. It is not perfect. but yummy.

    Delicious, authentic, and nicely priced! Not to mention a free cookie at the end of your meal! Great simple place for families and friends to go. Food is filling and delicious with menu prices that are absurdly cheap. You won't eat anything better for less.
